VINEYARD PLANTING:
PLANTING ADVICE
- Know the agronomic characteristics of the soil: salinity, active lime, fertility, pathology levels, and other factors that may affect the future vineyard.
- Assess climatic suitability: Temperature, light, and precipitation.
- Prepare the plot adequately: Deep tilling, disinfection if nematode problems are detected, planting irrigation, and initial fertilization.
- Install an irrigation system.
- Design the planting: Orientation and planting density, considering the planting framework and the presence of margins, roads, and access points.
- Choose the appropriate rootstock and variety for the soil characteristics and local climatic conditions.
- Prepare the plant: At Viveros Gilabert, we deliver the plant fully prepared for planting.
- Planting: Ensure perfect contact between the roots and the soil, placing the graft union at the same level as the surface.
- Post-planting care: Phytosanitary treatments, disbudding, use of tutors for proper formation, and soil maintenance.
